Purple Corn Juice
The purple corn drink concentrated juice is one of the Peruvian drinks, a natural and healthy brew made from purple corn, pineapple, apples, quince, sugar and a hint of cinnamon and cloves added for extra spice and flavor.
Originally from Peru and for many years, natives from the Andes have boiled Purple Corn to make a refreshing drink called “Chicha Morada”, which is now recognized as a nutritive powerhouse due to its extremely high anthocyanin (antioxidants) in content.
Due to high concentrations of natural purple pigments known as anthocyanins, Purple Corn drink contains a powerful antioxidant action. It protects cells from damage by free radicals and detoxifies as well. It is a potent anti-inflammatory that reduces cholesterol levels and prevents hypertension. Additionally, it contains cancer fighting properties and regulates insulin which helps preventing diabetes.
